Good

This is a fun game but its not balanced, you are forced to die because the gold drop rate is too low and there is no mean to be healed for free ( like by a priest).

GOOD GAME

This was a fun game. It reminded me of an old rpg game. At times it was challenging but I was able to finish it. Hope to see more games like this in the future. Worth the price.

Bad gameplay

I like how this could be a good game. I looked past the graphics. I enjoyed the first part but the goblins are annoying and it is too hard to find the spell book. Also you should give us the weapons at every shop. Because I had a lot of money but not the fire power at the start at the goblins. It is also hard to know where your going.

Great game!!!

10/10!!! I recommended it to many friends! It has a cool nostalgic feel with the pixel graphics, and I like the controls! It would make the game even better if there was a map one screen all the time rather than having to click off screen to find your way, but thats my only complaint! Great game! Looking forward to future updates!

Surprisely fun!!

I wasnt sure with the type of gameplay, i thought i would get lost but no its pretty easy to run around and to know where u went and where u are going. It reminds me of doom or wolfenstein RPG. Its a good game with a good price!!

One problem

The game is good in my opinion but I just have one thing, once in a while when I play and I try to open my save file it wont open could you fix this? Please I really enjoy the game.

Excellent "old-school" RPG

As other reviewers have said, this first-person rpg dungeon crawler/ world explorer does not have the same depth as The Quest, yet it is a very satisfying game. Resource management of food and drink which replenish health and mana is important, especially at lower levels. At low levels you will probably die often and will automatically respawn at the last shrine where you left an offering. Dont let this discourage you, because as you level up and find powerful items and magic, all those earlier deaths will really have contributed to your leveling. I hope a sequel is in the works!

Nice bite sized RPG, but not without flaws.

As a tribute to the first-person RPGs of the 80s, Questlord works nicely. Reminds one very much of the D&D dungeon crawlers that were basically the go-to for CRPG thrills back in the day. Only, Questlord is nicely streamlined so that its easier to play and lighter on the micromanagement. Unfortunately, the game does have some noteworthy shortcomings. The biggest things that to need to fixed are the interface, primarily the lack of a compass in the main screen (I cant belive that was overlooked) and the ability to strafe. Side-walking has been in these sort of RPGs for decades so its weird that its not present here because the fact you cannot strafe means that enemies get all sorts of cheap hits in on you because you have to take two or three moves to actually face them and attack. Another huge problem is the inability of the player to be able to mark the map with important notes, which is another hallmark of these types of games that is mysterious absent. The in-game maps only show a few details, mostly exits, but dont show you the locations of NPCs, items, or other important details. In old school games like this, you marked all this on the map yourself, which is fine with me, but the ability is not there. All that said, this is still a pretty entertaining bite sized sort of thing, I just think the interface could use some cleaning up.

Only played 15 min so far...

But already I can tell this is game is flippin awesome! Needs tweaking of the movement buttons for more intuitive control but thats it. Old-school dungeon goodness!!! Buy this game!!!

Takes me back

Takes me back to the good old days! If you grew up playing Bards Tale on an Apple IIc/e, you will love this game.

Solid RPGs

If youre always looking for old school RPGs this is a solid choice. Its fairly simple but the content is well made and the mechanics remind me a lot of playing dungeon master.

Excellent game

Very highly recommended! Great dev support too!

Controls

really good game but wudup wit doz controls? It should be joystick.

Good but "The Quest" is better

I think this is a pretty cool game* but I redownloaded The Quest & it is the Real Deal w/graphics et al. (*besides my getting locked in the sanctuary as a human &it being too hard to do the quest).

Questlord is awesome!

Questlord brings back everything that was great about 8 and 16 bit adevnture / roleplaying. Youll love it and it only 1.99. Its worth 10X that price.

Awesome Old School RPG

The game is highly addictive, intuitive, polished and immensely fun. It reminds me of the old 8-bit RPGs. Worth buying.

Amazing

Amazing game so incredibly epic But is there ever going to be an update i havent played as much because Ive done all the quests as each race it would be so cool if you could add like another race or map to it because I enjoy it but Ive slowly been getting bored

Awesome Mobile RPG

Its like an old dungeon crawler RPG game on the iPhone its awesome Its an amazing game worth the money if you like these games.!

Great Game & Challenging

I love this game way more than any other dungeon crawler or fps fantasy game. Its clean & simple, but addicting and challenging. Only request is for a full walkthrough to be added to the help page so we can see where to pick up quests, and where/how to complete them. Its not too hard to do without a walkthrough, but without quick travel, there might be a lot of walking around an retracing steps! At least the awesome developer, Eric, has made it a beautiful world to get lost in! And hopefully hell be adding a walkthrough soon. I played the first beta test. and ever since then this game was awesome... Highly recommended.

Ehh...

This game ok. It is very small. The developer only updated the game once and has basically abandoned the game. If you want a truly great game I recommend the quest by chillingo. The developers are very active, and there is even a forum page in game. There is so much more to do in the quest, I recommend at least checking it out.
